A.J. Institute of Medical Sciences & Research Centre (AJIMS & RC), Mangaluru, is a premier medical education and healthcare institution established in 2002 under the Laxmi Memorial Education Trust (R). Founded through the vision of educationist and philanthropist Dr. A.J. Shetty, the institution is committed to advancing medical education, healthcare, research and community service.

Admission Process 2026, A.J. Institute of Medical Sciences & Research Centre
Step-by-step process:
- Qualify for NEET-UG 2026 by securing the required percentile.
- Register for Karnataka counseling on the KEA portal.
- Participate in choice filling and mock allotment.
- Seats are allotted based on NEET rank, category, and preferences.
- Download the allotment letter and pay the fees online.
- Report to AJIMS for document verification and admission confirmation.
Counseling usually happens in multiple rounds (Round 1, Round 2, Mop-up, and stray vacancy if required).
Eligibility Criteria
- Must be 17 years of age or older by December 31, 2026.
- Qualifying for NEET-UG 2026 is mandatory.
- Must have passed Class 12 with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English.
- Minimum aggregate marks in PCB:
- General: 50%
- Reserved Category: 40%
- Indian citizens, OCIs, and NRIs are eligible.
- A medical fitness certificate is required.
Preference is given to natives of Karnataka for state quota seats.
